Teen Choice Awards 2014: The Fault in Our Stars win big

It’s no wonder Ansel Elgort won Choice Movie Breakout Star for Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars at the Teen Choice Awards Sunday night. He was the clear winner of the night picking up: Choice Movie Actor: Drama for The Fault in Our Stars, Choice Movie Chemistry with Nat Wolff and Shailene Woodley for The Fault in Our Stars and not surprising, Choice Movie Liplock with Shailene Woodley in The Fault In Our Stars. The Fault in Our Stars also won the Choice Movie for drama and Nat Wolff won for Choice Movie Scene Stealer.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire picked up two awards for male actors –  Donald Sutherland was chosen as Choice Movie Villain and Josh Hutcherson won for Choice Movie Actor in a Sci-Fi or Fantasy. Shailene Woodley won Choice Movie Actress in action for Divergent. Choice Movie Actor: Comedy went to Kevin Hart for Ride Along and he also won Choice Comedian. Olay Fresh Effects Breakout Star Award went to actress Odeya Rush.

Pretty Little Liars swept away the television awards with Choice TV Actress: Drama going to Lucy Hale, Choice Summer TV Star: Male awarded to Tyler Blackburn and the series won Choice TV Show for drama. The Choice TV Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy went to Nina Dobrev for The Vampire Diaries. The reality television winner went to fan fav, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Lea Michele was chosen as the Choice TV Actress: Comedy for Glee. Choice TV: Breakout Show went to newcomer Faking It. Choice TV Reality Personality winner Cat Deeley was chosen for hosting So You Think You Can Dance.

Music and media were also celebrated at the awards show. Candie’s Choice Style Icon winner was Zendaya. Demi Lovato took home two awards. One for Choice Summer Music Star and for Choice Summer Song “Really Don’t Care,” featuring Cher Lloyd. The Choice Break-Up Song chosen was “Amnesia,” by 5 Seconds of Summer. I’m sure your jaw didn’t drop when you heard that Taylor Swift won for Choice Female Country Artist.

Male and female web stars were also chosen. Tyler Oakley won for male and Bethany Mota for female. Choice Web Star: Fashion/Beauty went to Zoe Sugg (“Zoella”)Choice Web Star: Comedy went to Our2ndLife. The Choice Web Star: Music winner was Shawn Mendes.

Choice Female Artist winner Ariana Grande was chosen over BeyoncéMiley Cyrus, Lorde, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. She also won Choice Single Female Artist for “Problem,” featuring Iggy Azalea. The Choice Male Artist went to Jason Derulo, who won over: Pharrell Williams, Pitbull, Austin Mahone, Ed Sheeran and Justin Timberlake.

Choice Single Group: Bo$$ by Fifth Harmony won over “Me and My Broken Heart,” Rixton, “Rude,” Magic!, “She Looks So Perfect,” 5 Seconds of Summer and “Story of My Life,” by One Direction. The application Vine was not forgotten. Choice Viner went to Cameron Dallas. ~Andrea Hodgins
