Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin, 25, is being considered to play Batman alongside Henry Cavill‘s Superman in the Man of Steel sequel, according to Cosmic Book News. A source from DC Entertainment told the website that for the role of Batman, Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder are looking to cast an actor with a reputation similar to Henry’s prior to landing the role of Superman. Tyler will soon be doing a screen test with Henry, since filming is expected to start in early 2014. Although Tyler is the top choice, other known actors are also being considered for the role. The announcement of a Superman and Batman duo was revealed by Snyder and actor Harry Lennix at Comic Con on Saturday. ~Alfonso Espina

Wrong werewolf, should be Joe Manganiello.

is he british too? All the DC heros are British playing American icons. It’s working though.

Tyler Hoechlin is AMERICAN and a good choice because he is a former top athlete with great physical abilities . I suspect that producers seek a young actor who can participate in many suites in the coming years and whose age is not too far from that of Cavill . So Joe Manganiello is too old .

Please for the love of god make him Batman… I’ll probably see the movie no matter what cause well… BATMAN! But Tyler Hoechlin is HOT! and it would make sitting through a superman movie more than worth it!

Looks too much like Cavill. No good. Bradley Cooper should be Batman – end of story.

YES! I think he’d be perfect. He already plays a dark and brooding character on Teen Wolf so he can definitely handle it. Plus, he’s extremely good looking so that’s a bonus. I can see this happening for sure and I really hope that this rumor becomes a reality!

Did anyone notice his teeth….a bit of a problem considering we only see batman’s mouth.
