The 27th Annual Critics Choice Award nominations announced

Critics Choice Awards

The critics have spoken and the top films of the year have received nominations!

On Monday morning, the nominees for the 27th annual Critics Choice Awards were announced, with Focus Feature’s historical drama Belfast and 20th Century Studio’s musical film West Side Story leading with 11 nominations each. Dune and The Power of the Dog tied for second place with 10 nods each. Licorice Pizza and Nightmare Alley each earned eight nominations, followed by the biopic King Richard and the comedy Don’t Look Up receiving six nominations.

The Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Taye Diggs and Nicole Byer, will air on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 7 p.m. ET on CW and TBS — the same day as the Golden Globe Awards, which will not be broadcast on television this year. ~Manal Amir
