Mann’s Grauman Chinese Theatre was the scene of The Lovely Bones premiere on Monday, December 7th. Director Peter Jackson and several stars of the film were in attendance, including Susan Sarandon, Saoirse Ronan, Rose McIvor and Rachel Weisz. Steven Spielberg, the film’s executive producer, also made an appearance.
The Lovely Bones centers on a young girl who has been brutally murdered and watches over her family — and her killer — from heaven. Ronan, 15, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Atonement, plays the young girl. The movie opens Friday January 15, 2010 in Canada. ~Alexandra Heilbron
