Nicholas SparksThe Notebook is a well known author who has had several of his works adapted into films. The Notebook which starred Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams will be soon be adapted for the screen once more, but this time as a television series.

The series will follow Noah and Allie and their growing love and relationship “against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina,” according to the show’s official logline.

Mark Pedowitz, president of The CW, said, “I am thrilled Nicholas Sparks wanted to make it with The CW, The Notebook is a very, very well-received book and motion picture. He added that he didn’t believe the series would feature the elderly couple but that may change as the pilot and the series begin to come together.”

No official timeline has been given although you can expect that the series will get its shot sometime in 2016. The CW already has a fairly successful slate of shows featuring The Flash, Arrow and Supernatural. ~Greg Chisholm
