Tom Hardy takes cancer-stricken fan on date

The Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy surprised cancer-stricken fan Kayleigh Duff, 23, with a lunch date and a diamond necklace on Monday. After her diagnosis, she came up with a “wish list” of things she’d like to do, including getting married, going on a talk show and meeting Tom Hardy. Kayleigh, whose list is being fulfilled by family and friends through fundraising, appeared on a talk show recently and mentioned her wish to meet the British actor. Charlotte Riley, Hardy’s fiancée, secretly planned a meeting with the help of Kayleigh’s best friend, Katie Birch. On Monday, Kayleigh was taken to a surprise lunch date with her friend, Riley, and Hardy. Kayleigh told the Canterbury Times, “I nearly died when I saw him. I was shaking – I just thought we were having a day out in London. Tom’s fiancée Charlotte and Katie arranged it all without me knowing and he was so lovely and down to earth. We had lunch and tea and scones and he bought me a diamond necklace.” Next on the wish list: a vacation to Florida with her two-year-old son. ~Cassie Jasinski

Cancer at 23! Brutal and she’s a mother of a 2yr old to boot. Good on him and his fiancee for being secure enough to set that up. That’s the type of story you want to read.
Poor girl having to deal with cancer and at such a young age. Tom Hardy and his fiancee are great people for trying to make her smile a bit at this tough time! 🙂

Now Tom and his fiancee are two people who truly deserve each other. What a class act! While Joe Camel i mean Jay-Z and Beyonce do what? Oh go to Cuba (where other mere mortal Americans cant dare hope to go) on an “educational” vacation.
