Topher Grace’s revenge on old bully

By Tribute on April 27, 2012 | 10 Comments

It’s not often that people get the chance to get back at a childhood bully. However, Topher Grace recently found the opportunity. Not to worry, no one got hurt and it is doubtful he is condoning revenge on bullies. Later this year, Grace will star in The Big Wedding, alongside A-listers Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton and Katherine Heigl. The former Spider-Man 3 star was raised in Connecticut and returned home to shoot the film, where he ran into an old high school bully while on location. During an appearance on Anderson recently, he said, “I bumped into someone, no names mentioned — but you know who you are — who was like a real bully to me at high school,” adding, “It was the reason you go into being an actor, go back and be like, ‘Hey, do you know Robert De Niro? Katherine Heigl?’ It was great.” Grace also said De Niro told him, “Call me Bob,” early in the shoot, but he had trouble with it because of De Niro’s fame. That changed when he saw his childhood bully and said, “Hey, do you know Bob?” ~Renita Naraine

He’s allowed to be pompous…he’s hanging out with Robert De Niro and Katherine Heigl. I would’ve done the same thing if i were in his shoes

That’s his revenge to say he worked with a legendary actor? ohhhh ahhhhh. He should have really laid into the guy and told him to get off the set or something and then sent security after the guy.

i think this was an awesome way for him to “get revenge”. it isnt snotty or rude or anything the way a lot of people would be. i love topher, i think he is a really good actor and i feel he proved it when he played in the double.

Topher, I’m gonna kick your ass for that!

First, Bob is being paid to be on set. I doubt if there was no paycheck that DeNiro would feel compelled to call a no talent actor like Topher.
Second, how is what Topher said not snotty. Do you Bob? To some nobody who is or was a bully, how would he know who Bob is. Do you think that bully has nothing better to do than track Topher’s life on the off chance that he returns to Conneticut to do a movie while knowing the guy you bullied is going to say “Do you know Bob.” If Topher came up to you and said “Do you know Bob?” Would you? It was a snotty and you are an idiot.
