Tribute’s top five trailers of the week

InterstellarInterstellar is a clear favorite among Tribute fans for the second week in a row. Following close was Dumb & Dumber To and the Disney animated Big Hero 6. Which was your favorite trailer of the week?

1) Interstellar trailer: In the not-too-distant future there is widespread famine; armies have been disbanded and life has regressed into farm-based economies. The Earth’s atmosphere has become rich in nitrogen but poor in oxygen, and soon global starvation will give way to global asphyxiation. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), a widower, is a former NASA test pilot who still dreams of flight. He and his two children, Tom (Timothée Chalamet), 15, and Murphy (Mackenzie Foy), 10, struggle to survive. Meanwhile, Professor Brand (Michael Caine), a brilliant physicist, and his team, including his scientist daughter (Anne Hathaway) have two potential plans to save mankind, but only one involves saving the six-billion plus people on Earth.

2) Dumb & Dumber To trailer: Lloyd (Jim Carrey), who has successfully faked a mental illness for 20 years, meets up with Harry (Jeff Daniels) once again to join forces in another wacky adventure. This time, Harry discovers he has a daughter. The two old pals set out to find her, with Lloyd determining to make her fall in love with him. Along the way they fall into their old, dumber-than-dumb habits.

3) Big Hero 6 trailer: When young robotics genius Hiro Hamada gets to visit the school where his his brilliant brother Tadashi studies, and meets his friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred, he wants to join them. Just as Hiro impresses the head of the school with his invention, a fire breaks out in the building and Tadashi goes back inside. When that leads to a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his brother’s invention—a robot named Baymax who can heal people—and transforms him into a warrior. Hiro and his new friends transform into a band of high-tech heroes who are determined to solve the mystery.

4) The Divergent Series: Insurgent trailer: Tris (Shailene Woodley), Four (Theo James), Caleb (Ansel Elgort), Peter (Miles Teller) and Four’s father Marcus (Ray Stevenson) take refuge at Amity. Tris tries to cope with her guilt at having killed Will, even though it was in self defense. The group, especially Tris and Four, find Amity’s no weapons rule difficult to live with and they soon find themselves on the run again.

5) St. Vincent trailer: A 12-year-old boy whose parents just got divorced begins to hang out with his next door neighbor Vincent (Bill Murray), a cantankerous, misanthropic war veteran. The man teaches the boy all about gambling, fighting, stealing and other guy stuff, to the horror of his mother (Melissa McCarthy).
