Twilight is the Peoples Choice

By Alexandra Heilbron on January 6, 2011 | 4 Comments

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse picked up four People’s Choice Awards last night, for Favorite Movie, Favorite Drama, Favorite Movie Actress (Kristen Stewart) and Favorite On Screen Team (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner). “I can’t believe this. You guys are unreal! It still amazes me. This is for movie number 3, Eclipse, already?” Lautner said as he joined the other two to accept the trophies. Zac Efron won Favorite Movie Star under 25 and Taylor Swift, who won Favorite Country Artist, was presented her award by Sir Elton John, to whom she said when she reached the stage: “Congratulations to you! You’re a dad now!” Johnny Depp, who won Favorite Movie Actor, received a standing ovation when he walked onstage to accept his award. He told the crowd: “Thank you so much for this. This is yet again a stupefying honor, because it comes from the people, the people who keep us all here. If it wasn’t for you, none of us would be here.” See below for a full list of winners:

Might as well have just slapped a MTV logo in front and made it their Movie awards. it’s sad to say, but you see the what wins when people pick, and the general public picked a lot of wrongs.

I’m not surprised that Twilight won in two categories. Gay sparkly vampires seem to be all the range now adays.
