Uggie, who is quickly becoming the most famous living showbusiness canine, was on hand when the silent movie The Artist picked up yet another award on Tuesday night. He was joined by co-stars Jean Dujardin, who won a Golden Globe and a SAG award and is up for an Academy Award; Missi Pyle and James Cromwell as they accepted a “Made In Hollywood” honor. Uggie, an adorable Jack Russell, was earlier honored with a Golden Collar award for his work in the movie and stole the show at the Golden Globes when the movie won Best Picture. As the stars posed with the award, Uggie couldn’t help reaching over and planting a big wet one on Jean’s cheek. Uggie’s trainer announced last month that the 10-year-old, who also appeared in Water for Elephants last year, is retiring, but he’ll first take part in the Academy Awards ceremony on February 26.
