Vampire Diaries star Alice Evans welcomes baby daughter

Ioan Gruffudd and his wife, Vampire Diaries actress Alice Evans, have welcomed a baby girl into the world. Alice was due on September 25 but gave birth to the couple's second child two weeks early on September 13 and the pair have named the new addition Elsie Marigold. In a statement to E! news, the couple said: ''We are beyond thrilled to announce the arrival of our daughter, Elsie Marigold, on September 13. A little sister for Ella Betsi. We both feel very grateful and very blessed.'' Welsh star Ioan, 39, previously joked he is already run off his feet with one tot at home, but thinks he and Alice, 42, will enjoy the challenge of another child.
He said: ''She's very, very strong. She's like her mother. I've got my work cut out for me at home.'' The couple met during the filming of Disney family flick 102 Dalmatians in 2000 and married in September 2007 in Mexico.
