World War Z becomes Brad Pitt’s highest grossing film

World War Z has passed the $500 million mark in the worldwide box office to become Brad Pitt‘s highest-grossing film to date, according to Paramount Pictures. The zombie apocalypse thriller, which is based on a 2006 novel by Max Brooks, earned $502.6 million as of this past weekend to surpass Pitt’s previous achievement of $497.3 million for 2004’s Troy. The film, which had a production cost of around $220 million, has thus far grossed $197.4 million domestically and $305.2 million at the foreign box office. Pitt also surpassed his previous domestic record of $186.3 million for his 2005 hit Mr. and Mrs Smith with Angelina Jolie. ~Alfonso Espina

    Troy had many other stars to help that film.
    But WWZ was actually good. There were plenty of tense moments and it wasn’t gory for the sake of gore ie:Evil Dead remake. I can’t wait for pt2.
    Guess this movie was worth it with the cost over-runs and delays and his stupid long hair.
