X-Men: Days of Future Past and Blended open today

The highly anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past leads the crop of new releases opening today and is sure to gain the top spot at the upcoming weekend box office. Starring Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and more, the movie involves Wolverine being sent back to the seventies, where he has to convince a young Professor X and Magneto to work together to stop an oncoming war. Watch the trailer by clicking here. For fans of romantic comedies, Blended, starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, also opens in wide release today. Releasing in Toronto and Vancouver is The Love Punch, a rom-com for the older set, starring Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson as a divorced couple who rekindle their romance while tracking down a thief. Watch the trailer here. Woody Allen’s new movie, Fading Gigolo, opens in limited release today in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
