Iron Man 3 completely dominated the box office this weekend. The superhero film ushered in the summer movie season with a booming $175.3 million opening haul – that’s the second biggest domestic debut behind only The Avengers, which brought in $32.1 million more. The third installment of the Iron Man franchise has a strong Tribute user rating of 4 out of 5 stars. It has also earned $680.1 million so far worldwide. The other movies in the top 10 collectively brought in only $34.4 million. In second place, with a rating of 3 stars, was Pain & Gain with $7.6 million. 42 held steady at third with a rating of 4.5 stars and $6.2 million. Oblivion, with 3.5 stars, fell into fourth place with $5.8 million. The Croods, currently rated 4.5 stars by Tribute users, continues to do well several weeks since its debut and finished with $4.2 million. Rounding out the top ten were: The Big Wedding, Mud, Oz The Great and Powerful, Scary Movie 5, and The Place Beyond the Pines. ~Cassie Jasinski

Personally, I didn’t like the last 25 minutes or so, but it was great up until then.

I thought it was too long. It was more RDJ than it was Iron Man 🙁 And what’s with the theme of all 3 movies where the first one Iron Man was up against 1 version of iron bad guy. Second movie he was up against many versions of iron bad guys. Third one he was up against lots of bad guys but many versions of himself lol. The kid was a good actor BTW. My only eral complaint was Mandarin. I was extremely disappointed (although Ben Kingsley was funny) as the Mandarin is supposed to be Iron Mans’ version of Batman vs. Joker forever or Superman Vs. Lex or Spidy vs. Green Goblin etc. I felt they built that into nothing and I was expecting hardcore villan.
