Details have not yet been released, but Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard and director Jon Favreau will be back. In keeping with the comic theme, Marvel has also released a temporary date of June 4, 2010 for a movie based on the “Thor” comic book, to be directed by Matthew Vaughn. The following year, May 6, 2011, the studio hopes to release The First Avenger: Captain America—a production based on the Captain America comic books. Also, that July expect to see a “super movie” that incorporates the Avengers and Iron Man, who team up with The Hulk and Thor—Zak Penn (X2) is rumored to be working on the script for this movie. Ant-Man is also in the works and will be written and directed by Edgar Wright.

obviously you haven’t heard about the justice league movie, with christian bale as batman and brandon routh as superman, they’ll add the others i’m sure

ummm yeah. The Justice League movie is not starring Christian Bale or Brandon Routh. Sorry to burst your bubble. The Justice League movie is not even green lit. It may never happen. Marvel is light years ahead of DC in terms of making movies. Much bigger company really. Keep it up Marvel. Keep em coming. I Will be in line for each one. (will be for the DC ones to)

    Awesome start for Marvel Studios.
Along with The Man of Steel (Superman 2) DC has release dates for The Green Lantern and The Flash. JLA is still in talks but both Bale and Routh agreed to take on their respective roles if the opportunity arose.

Also let’s not forget Marvel’s “Punisher: War Zone” (I think it’s coming out this winter.. if it doesn’t get pushed back) along with “Wolverine” (2009)and “Magneto” movies, both part of the “X-Men Origins” series. And Of course “The Silver Surfer”, most likely 2010.

    Let the nerds rejoice!
