iSkin, a top maker of cool gadget accessories, and Tribute.ca are thrilled to announce G7 Records/Universal/Interscope artist Reema Major as the official spokesperson for “Cool In You,” the national online singing competition in search of Canada’s next big music star. Reema’s career took off after a chance meeting with Kwajo Cinqo, President of G7 Records. “From the moment I met her, I knew that she was destined to be a superstar,” Kwajo says. “I feel she is the hottest female in the game, and she is young in age but has a wise soul!” This led to Reema signing with G7 Records and after a bidding war with other labels, including Gene Simmons’ label, Reema signed to a joint venture with Universal Music Canada and Interscope Records (USA) in 2010. Her hit singles Ghetto Kids and Father were released on her third mixtape, I Am Legend, last month. The “Cool In You” contest opened May 9, 2011 to all unsigned Canadian musicians and bands, age 13 and up (excluding Quebec). All eligible entrants are encouraged to submit their three-minute (max.) music video at www.coolinyou.com. Once their video is submitted, the Canadian public will be encouraged to vote via social networking, narrowing the contest down to 10 of Canada’s favorites. The top 10 finalists will be judged by a highly energized panel of music industry judges who will decide on the final “Cool In You” winner, who will receive a $20,000 prize pack including music production from award-winning producer Marcus Kane.
