It turns out dating Jennifer Lopez also comes with a nice pay-off. The American Idol judge gives her new 24-year-old boyfriend Casper Smart $10,000 a week according to Star magazine. But not just out of love — she’s embarrassed of always being seen paying when they go out together. “She hated having to whip out her credit card every time they go to dinner. And it bummed her out that Casper had to borrow money from her to buy Christmas presents, including hers,” an inside source told the magazine. The insider also told Star that Casper, who works as a dancer in L.A., usually spends the little money he makes on flashy clothes and jewelry and is just now learning how to live like an A-lister, with a little help from Lopez of course.
The couple have been making headlines since they began seeing each other shortly after Lopez split from her husband Marc Anthony, who hasn’t kept quiet about his bitter feelings toward her. Their separation was fueled by more enmity when Anthony threatened to file for custody of their twins because Lopez wasn’t using good judgement when it came to Smart. This new revelation in her relationship with Smart probably won’t help her case. “Marc is livid that Jennifer is throwing money away on this punk!” the source said. “He feels she shouldn’t be spending it on Casper. The kids are one thing – but her boy toy is a whole other ball of wax!”
