Jack Nicholson photo found on fake ID

When 41-year-old Ricardo Sergio Freire de Barros tried to open a bank account in Brazil, the teller noticed something rather unusual about the man’s ID. The photo on the card was that of 74-year-old Oscar-winning actor Jack Nicholson — and the two apparently don’t even look anything alike. According to police, they’ve been on Barros’ tail for months since receiving several reports that he was racking up hefty unpaid debts with credit cards and bank accounts that were opened under false identities. He had six different pieces of ID on him at the time of his arrest. The photo of Nicholson that Barros used was taken from a famous portrait by renowned photographer Martin Schoeller. It was first published in a 2003 issue of Entertainment Weekly and has been displayed in several museums. Barros is being charged with the use of false documents and falsification of a public document.

That’s a famous photograph that has been displayed in museums? Looks like it could be a picture from the DMV or a mugshot.

That photo doesn’t look like much on the ID but it is a great shot. Martin Schoeller has done a number of these for celebs and they are normally much larger, not a tiny pic like the one on the license. There is something about the way he captures celebs that makes you stare at the pictures – it’s like they beg you to ask questions about what the person was thinking and where they have been.

Remind me not to hire that photographer (not that I could) – I agree it does look like a mugshot, but then there really aren’t too many photos of Jack that are very flattering.

No it sure isn’t a flattering shot. He looks psycho in this one, although, he does often play the part of a psycho. lol
This guy must have been psycho to think he could use such a famous face as his own identity.
