When 41-year-old Ricardo Sergio Freire de Barros tried to open a bank account in Brazil, the teller noticed something rather unusual about the man’s ID. The photo on the card was that of 74-year-old Oscar-winning actor Jack Nicholson — and the two apparently don’t even look anything alike. According to police, they’ve been on Barros’ tail for months since receiving several reports that he was racking up hefty unpaid debts with credit cards and bank accounts that were opened under false identities. He had six different pieces of ID on him at the time of his arrest. The photo of Nicholson that Barros used was taken from a famous portrait by renowned photographer Martin Schoeller. It was first published in a 2003 issue of Entertainment Weekly and has been displayed in several museums. Barros is being charged with the use of false documents and falsification of a public document.
