Jake Gyllenhaal ends it with Taylor Swift

Jake Gyllenhaal, 30, ended his two-month relationship with Taylor Swift, 21, last week because of all the paparazzi attention the two received. A source told Us Weekly that Jake prefers a more private lifestyle than what he experienced with the country singer. “Jake reached out to her and started all of this, but now he’s not acting as interested,” the source told the mag. “He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got. He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn’t listen.” Another insider who knows Gyllenhaal explained: “Jake cares about her, but [the publicity] was a lot for him. He wants to keep his private life private, and that’s hard to do dating Taylor.”

I feel bad for celebrity relationships that end because of media interests and people can’t leave the couple alone. Its understandable that privacy becomes an issue but I imagine its hard because the break up occurs not because of the actual other person’s traits. Anyway all the best to the two of them.
Good point @hmmm – its really sad when its due to outside factors, and not just because they’re not interested in each other anymore…I also wish them the best.
I guess he’s trying to spare her feelings? Because what was his relationship with Reese Witherspoon? Not public? And he didn’t dump Reese, she dumped him. So I guess with Reese, all the paparazzi attention didn’t bother him.
Sweet Jake is available again, I sure hope I have a chance!
