James Franco and Anne Hathaway hated each other

Sources have come forward to say that this year’s Oscar hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway grew to “hate each other” during rehearsals, according to Us Weekly. “She had to provide all the energy — he was just phoning it in,” an insider told the magazine. “James seemed in his own little world,” during the Oscar telecast, said another source. “Producers were pissed.” After the awards ceremony, Franco skipped his own party at The Writer’s Room in Los Angeles. “He went immediately back to NYC because he was pissed about how the show went,” said a third source. Franco’s rep told the mag: “This is absolutely not true,” while Hathaway’s rep said, “Anne had a wonderful experience with him.” Whatever the case, the Academy is not planning to invite them back as hosts, while Hugh Jackman and Billy Crystal, who have both successfully hosted the Oscars in previous years, have expressed interest in returning.

I thought they were good, I would not mind seeing them host again.

It would explain the lack of chemestry. If this means that Billy Chrystal comes back, it would be great, he’s the best they’ve had since I started watching the show over 20 years ago. I only missed it once.

So here’s the deal where is the proof that they hated each other? Look I get it that the two did not have good chemistry as co-hosts. that’s OK we all get it, hell we all saw it. Lets move on and all hope that Eddie Izzard is next years host. At least that way we can have his dress compared to Halie Berry’s.

Ok the whole night was rather boring and wasn’t helped by Anne and James. He looked like he was hating every minute and she was had a fake giggle….it started off so good with the films montage and i thought they were going to come to the stage in the car, BUT no and it went all downhill from there, and that song she performed alone was uncomfortable to watch….pleeeeaaase bring back the handsome hugh jackman…

I thought Franco was pretty funny. That “Congratulations nerds!” comment had me laughing. I was actually annoyed by Hathaway’s job as host. She seemed to try wayyyy too hard and it was painful to watch. That smile was just plain creepy. Horrible show overall though.

if academy wants to appeal to older teenagers and young people…..maybe woody allen can host

I find it hard to believe that Anne Hathaway hates anyone. He didn’t make her job any easier, but I doubt she hates him.

have to agree, Lloyd. Hathaway go away….please

would welcome Billy Crystal back with open arms, he makes the show well worth the ticket…

I like James Franco, but he’s way too laid-back to be host of the Oscars.

Anne Hathaway, on the other hand, is way too hyper to be host!

I didn’t really enjoy this year’s Oscars. The Kirk Douglas section was painful to watch. I did like some of the acceptance speeches though (Natalie Portman, Colin Firth, even Melissa Leo).

Bring back Hugh Jackman, Steve Martin, or Billy Crystal.
