Jamie Lee Curtis blames Miley’s parents

Jamie Lee Curtis has spoken up to defend Miley Cyrus, saying she knows what it’s like to be manipulated by a magazine. “I too was a little embarrassed by my recent topless ‘scandal’ and the subsequent parodies,” Curtis, 49, wrote for The Huffington Post, “but I am an adult woman. I protected myself during the shoot and I can take the heat. I only wish that her guardians had protected her.” Curtis posed for AARP magazine in a strapless dress, only to find out later that the photo had been digitally altered to give the impression that she’d posed nude. During Miley Cyrus’ photo shoot for Vanity Fair, she posed with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, but her parents left the shoot before the final photos of Miley in a bed sheet were taken, leaving only Miley’s grandmother and teacher there with the teen. “Of course she is embarrassed. She is a young girl. She shouldn’t have to deal with any of this,” writes Curtis. “I know there were people present at the shoot that should have been looking out to make sure that this didn’t happen.”
