Jamie Lynn SpearsJamie Lynn Spears, 16, whose baby is due this summer, is officially done with high school, having passed her General Educational Development (GED) exams. She’s reportedly looking forward to college, according to People.com. “She’s already got her diploma,” says a friend of Jamie Lynn’s. “She’s not wasting any time. People don’t know her. When she gets something in her head, she’ll make it happen. Everybody is so supportive of her.” Jamie Lynn told Us magazine: “I haven’t thought anything about what I might study. I’ll have to look more into that. But if I went anywhere, I think it would be fun to go to LSU [Louisiana State University],” Jamie Lynn told Us Weekly.

you can go to university at 16 with a GED? I always thought they had to write SAT’s and get good grades to be accepted

Theres nothing to say about this girl but pathetic. Any child who gets pregnant is a failure at life. Getting a Ged is nothing to be proud of. Shes just trailer trash living off of her sisters old reputation.

Maybe she will decide to take the babysitting course! Better yet, Early Childhood Education….so she doesn’t lose her child(ren) like her big sis did!

She can’t seriously get into university with a GED. No way. Just can’t be done, I don’t care who you are. “I haven’t thought anything about what I might study.” How about ENGLISH!!! If Tramp 101 was a course she’d get an A+!!!

yippee! the world will be a better place now that she has all this education.

do you think bill gates’ microsoft has an opening for her? or, better yet, there’s a doctor shortage; maybe she can do a few gastro-intestinal bypass surgeries? ya think!?

“…cant seriously get into university with a GED”
You CAN get into university with a GED but you may have to take entrance exams to prove proficiency in specific areas, english, math etc, depending on the program. In Canada, however you can’t take your GED until you are 19, or have been out of school for 2yrs.
But she finished her high school education, something a great number of people don’t achieve, pregnant or not.
I feel sorry for the Spears family and am astonished by how they live, but I feel sorrier for those who feel vindicated by debasing what little efforts the family makes toward self-growth.

“Getting a Ged is nothing to be proud of. Shes just trailer trash living…”
“If Tramp 101 was a course shed get an A+!!!”
This is a 16 yr old girl you are talking about, a child, do you really think that by making these sorts of comments that you’re so much more morally superior? This is cruel and wrong.
