Jamie Lynn Spears in KentwoodIt looks like Britney Spears‘ pregnant little sis, Jamie Lynn, 17, won’t be getting married to Casey Aldridge, the 19-year-old father of her child, after all. According to Star magazine, the teens are having a hard time getting along. “Jamie Lynn and Casey have been fighting non-stop about everything, from what to name the baby to what to eat for dinner,” a source told the magazine. “And now she’s called off their wedding plans.” The source also said that Jamie Lynn, who bought a house in the Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, has moved back into the Spears’ family home. Her baby is expected to be born later this month or early July.

This little girl may have got herself into the limelite with this pregnancy, but she is showing maturity calling this wedding off.
She has the smarts to realize if it doesnt work before , it wont after.
    All the best

Kids and teenagers!!!!! Always so picky (personal experience) or could be because she’s pregnant!!!!

They can’t agree on what to have for dinner??? Well, I would say that calling off the wedding is an excellent decision then! If they can’t agree on dinner or compromise on a child’s name, then there is no way they could ever survive a marriage!

The sooner the world starts licensing and regulating child birth the better. Doesn’t have to be a strict system, but there should at least be some kind test that forces people to actually acknowledge what having a child requires.

What’s up with people these days having accidental pregnancies? With all of the birth control and sex education in North America I can’t believe how many unplanned pregnancies are around.

I agree with Rosie. Jamie Lynn is so young and now she is going to have a baby which is going to be hard enough. I am glad she called off her wedding. If Jamie and Casey can’t get along at this point a wedding is only going to make it worse. I wish her good luck with everything.

Yeah I agree with everyone about her making a wise decision….I mean who wants another K-Fed in the news grabbing money from another Spears….and another spears shaving her head and so on and so forth…

I’m glad that she called the wedding off, 17 is waay to young to get married, I understand why she wanted to though, the pressure from the media, they still look down on unwed teenage mothers which is so unfair, there is no problem if the unwed mother is say 30 years old, and its not like she can’t afford to have this child grow up with everything it wants, marriage is not some little thing that you can throw around, and many people are great friends or together without being married and raise their children just fine, I think its so unfair the way people look down on her because she is young, I am 19 and pregnant like her with my first child, it was an accident yes, and there are so many things to protect you these days, but regardless accidents do happen. I commend her on her courage to continue to do well even though people turn their noses at her and think she is a slut for getting pregnant so young, its funny though if it were the 40’s etc this would be common practice, but now a days its wrong, so does that make grandma a slut because she was married and had children at 16? Our views on society have been warped by the media
I congratulate her on her pregnancy and hope she works it out with Casey, it’ll be hard for the both of them, but if their willing to work on it, they should be fine, plus pregnancy hormones are a bitch, we argue about everything, but it really doesn’t mean anything. btw if she’s due soon she really needs to gain some weight, she’s so small for being due so soon

They’re rednecks at heart. Perhaps in an odd redneck way she is learning from her sister’s mistakes, albeit a little too late…..

It was smart to call it off, but really, is anyone surprised?

Why did she decide to get pregnant in the first place? she still has a t.v. show. what do her fans think?

Mommy was making a living off books on wholesome Christian living… LOL
This is the trailer park family who won the lottery….

Well I think Jamie Lynn is being smart. If she is in a relationship that is putting more stress on her and her baby in her final months then why get married and have more stress throughout the child’s life even if she is only 17. Age is just a number. It is time to grow-up and realize that there is another being about to enter this relationship. I am 33 and my bf is 26 and he can not grasp the concept of what is to come. He just wants to have his fun and play video games and go out with friends. To him a baby means a money pit . That he won’t have enough money to do what he wants so he is hoping to get everything we need for baby from friends. This is my first child I do want some things new.
I just hope my bf changes his tune before my baby comes or maybe he could be adios as well.

Shucks, y’all, my wife/cousin was having her Daisy Dukes pressed for the occasion and I was gittin my overalls so sprucied-up purty.

Who cares if she gets married or not, she isn’t going to raise this kid anyway. Her mother, the infamous author and child rearing expert is going to raise it.

Besides, this is quite boring. I want to see her follow her sister’s footsteps so I have some juicy reading material.

Oooops, wrong link on my name. Sorry Nancy 🙂

I actually feel really sorry for jamie lynn and britney…..wait….no I don’t…they have..I mean had it made and screwed themselves by going for these idiot guys…and obviously not using any protection…girls take note…don’t make the same mistake…especially when you make more money than the man that fathered your baby….
