Jason Derulo seriously injured after hitting head during rehearsal

Singer/songwriter Jason Derulo, 22, sustained a serious injury to his neck when he landed directly on his head during a rehearsal for his upcoming world tour. He was rushed to Memorial West Hospital in Miami, Florida, where doctors said Derulo suffered an acute fracture to his vertebra — and that he was lucky the accident didn’t leave him paralyzed. Derulo, who has since been released from hospital, will have to wear a neck brace for the next few months. All of his touring and promotions surrounding his recently released album, Future History, have been cancelled and any fans who have already bought tickets to his upcoming shows are being offered refunds. Derulo released a statement that read: “To all my fans who planned to come to the Future History World tour, the pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I’ve sustained. My fans mean everything to me, so I’m praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future.”
