Jason Priestley hospitalized after falling from horse

Jason PriestleyJason Priestley was rushed to the hospital on Monday after being thrown off a horse on the set of his new TV show The Code, in which he plays an ex-hockey player who has become a private investigator. The Canadian actor has hockey in his blood because he is a player in his time off.

Susceptible to concussions, and wanting to err on the side of caution, he spent the night at the hospital. His doctor confirmed that he in fact did suffer another concussion.

Jason, 46, known for his TV roles on both Beverly Hills 90210 and Call Me Fitz, is taking a little time off work to recover. On Twitter he explained: “Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words… It’s true, I did get thrown off a horse on set… I got my bell rung pretty good. Because I have a history of concussions, they took me to see a neurologist for an assessment. He advised I take a few days off as I had suffered a concussion… But I am definitely on the mend and looking forward to getting back to work with all the wonderful people on The Code.”

He plans to take a few days off work to heal before heading back to the set. Not a bad idea for a guy prone to accidents. Another one of his hobbies is race car driving. In 2002, he crashed and fractured his spine. He suffered a concussion back then too. ~Sharon Salsberg

Canadian TV shows are so phoney, boring, & un-original in a cloying, creatively stunted way (Little MOSQUE on the PRAIRIE????!)
