Javier Bardem and his wife Penélope Cruz welcomed a daughter yesterday, according to a report by Hola. Penélope gave birth to their daughter at the Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid, Spain. The news went completely under the radar since the world’s spotlight was fixated on the birth of William and Kate’s royal baby in London yesterday. Details such as the name have yet to be released. Penélope, 39, and Javier, 44, first met on the set of 1992’s Jamón, jamón, but didn’t become a couple until they reunited while working on Woody Allen’s 2008 film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. The Oscar-winning couple welcomed their first child, a son named Leonardo Encinas Bardem, back in January 2011. ~Alfonso Espina
