Jay Leno, 60, has been named the recipient of the 2011 Hasty Pudding Man of the Year award. The Harvard University theatrical group calls Leno “a television icon and dedicated live performer who has entertained millions of people over his long and accomplished career in comedy.” The Tonight Show host will receive the honor during a roast and awards ceremony on February 4 at the university’s campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Julianne Moore was named this year’s Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year. The Hasty Pudding Club presents the Man and Woman of the Year awards annually to those who have made an impact on the world of entertainment. Past winners include Robert Redford, Clint Eastwood and James Cagney.
