Jennifer Garner stalker ruled insane

Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck with daughters Violet & SeraphinaLos Angeles Superior Court Judge Katherine Mader has ruled that Steven Richard Burky, who was accused of harassing Jennifer Garner and her husband Ben Affleck for eight years, is not guilty by reason of insanity. Burky pleaded no content to felony stalking charges and was ordered to be locked up in Patton State Hospital, an institution for judicially-committed adults suffering from mental disorders. He will remain there until doctors declare him mentally fit, but was also issued a restraining order requiring him to stay at least 500 yards away from Garner, Affleck and their two daughters for the next 10 years. Burky was arrested last December when he was seen outside the Santa Monica nursery school where their daughter Violet was enrolled, despite a protection order obtained by Garner and Affleck in 2008 that ruled he had to stay at least 100 yards from anyone in their family. ~Alexandra Heilbron

That’s gotta be scary for them, especially with the children. I hope it scared this guy enough to keep away.

As long as the Doctors keep declaring this guy mentally unfit,he could be kept in the institution indefinitely.I don’t think that if he is released,he’ll stop stalking this family until someone is hurt!If he is eventually released,Ben and Jennifer should get more security for their children and obtain a licence for firearms. They both should learn how and when to use them!Personally I don’t believe he’ll leave this family alone until something drastic happens. He’s been doing this for 8 yrs, getting locked-up will only p#ss him off even more!!! If it was my family I’d be protecting them in every way possible!Stalkers may be deemed mentally unfit, but I believe that some are very intelligent and extremely dangerous! This is my own personal opinion!!!!!

i agree with you both! im not surprised that he was fount insane, anyone that would stalk a family or a person for 8 years has to be mentally unwell. how long have ben and jennifer been together? i didnt think it had been 8 years :S

ps, for those of you that care…i just got off the phone with the school, she said she didnt like some of the answers from my interview so she is not going to offer me a spot in their school. :'(

  4. tributegirl • April 1, 2010 @ 3:18 PM

Did she tell you what answers? Because I think she should, so that you can maybe brush up in that area, or whatever. So, what are you going to do now?

  5. mandee • April 1, 2010 @ 4:19 PM

i asked her, she said she isnt sure what ones she will call me back after easter and tell me. i have no idea what im going to do now, cant afford to go back to school bc i can barely afford to live at home, i cant get a loan or anything like OSAP bc i have BAD BAD credit, guess i get to work in more dead end jobs. pi**ed me right the f*** off though. theres NO REASON i didnt get in, who cares if i suck at interviews? im smart, im funny, i can do anything i put my mind to, they clearly have NO IDEA what they are missing out on by not taking me. i probably would have had the highest marks in the class. jerks…lol.

Sorry to hear that Mandee. But take what she says, write it down and use it to your benefit. It’s not like this is the last interview of you life. She could be a quack, but chances are she knows what she is talking about. There is critisism, and then there is constructive critisism, and a lot of that is how it is interpreted. Use what she gives you, work on improving the areas she mentioned, and work it next time. You are right, the interview doesn’t always mean a hill of beans, it’s the actions behind the words, but that is all the interviewer has to go on for the most part, first impressions. If you want to win, you have got to listen to her advise.

  7. mandee • April 2, 2010 @ 3:07 PM

thanks for the advice, i dont really think she will call me though. she wasnt even going to tell me i didnt get in until i started calling her. (i called her 3 times before she would tell me lol).

  8. Carol • April 2, 2010 @ 4:57 PM

It’s your destiny and it is in your hands. If she doesn’t call you, then you call her again. Just tell her, you want to learn from this interview as you have a future and you want it to be a satisfying successful one.

  9. tributegirl • April 3, 2010 @ 9:58 PM

mandee, that totally sucks, but Carol has given you some excellent advise. Instead of being upset, take what she tells you, and learn from it. I also suck at interviews, always have, but I’m an excellent worker, so I know what you mean, they potentially have just the right person, or someone who will exceed their expectations by a lot, but the interview doesn’t show that at all. I know people who interview a LOT better than me, but aren’t half the worker I am. So in that way, I guess interviews are a farce, but what else can they do?

Yeah, “insane” people who have disobeyed restraining orders in the past ALWAYS obey them the second time around…sounds like the judge should be in the padded room next to him! I think Jen & Ben should just pay the doctor very well to keep the f’ing nut locked up!

Gawd, I hardly ever come on this site anymore and when I do now, I gotta crack up. Btw, where the hell are the leeches? LMFAO! Till next time, F.T.W. “┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐”

  11. tributegirl • April 4, 2010 @ 6:30 PM

Nancy, the leeches seem to be taking a break too, maybe you are them! hahahhahaha!!!!!

tributegirl on April 3, 2010 9:58 PM i agree with you and with carol. i just think people should give you a few weeks of a “trial” period to prove your abilities rather than base their final decision on your interview. my last job i only got it because i scared the manager lol. he was from pakistan and i went in and he said ok ill call and let you know and i said no, ill start monday. and he said umm, ill call and let you know and i said what time did you want me to start monday? (in a firm voice lmao) he said ok ok, i see you at 3pm-12am. haha 🙂 he loved me after he hired me. i was his fave!!! too bad he went out of business, i loved working there.

  13. tributegirl • April 5, 2010 @ 8:41 AM

LMAO that’s funny! But I agree there should be a trial basis, because there are a lot of people like me, suck at interviews, but are excellent workers.
