Jennifer Hudson nearly murdered

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 24, 2011 | 14 Comments

Jennifer Hudson has revealed it was a twist of fate that she wasn’t murdered along with her mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, her brother Jason, 29, and nephew Julian King, 7, in 2008. William Balfour, the estranged husband of Jennifer’s sister, Julia, was charged with the murders. Jennifer would have been at home on the day the brutal murders took place — October 24, 2008 — but instead she was in Florida with her fiancé David Otunga. “That’s one of the things that saved my life,” Jennifer recently told Ebony magazine. “Because I could have been home with my mom then. He wanted me to come out to Florida with him instead of going to Chicago. I flew out to see him; that’s why I’m still here. I’ve never said that before, and I can’t believe I just said that now. But I didn’t know. He was just like: “I’m going to this wrestling thing and it’s in Tampa. I’m going out there now, so you can come out there and see me versus going home.”‘

It’s a shocking and scary thing when bad things happen to people in your family. When your normal routine is interrupted, and it feels like a narrow miss, it can feel like fate or luck occurred. I think she is counting her blessings and realizing how mortal she really is.

Hmm, if that happened to me (losing all those family members when I could easily have been among those murdered), I don’t even know what I’d do with myself. Not that it’s better to have died with them but even just to live through that whole trauma, I don’t think I could go on anymore! I remember when I first heard about that story, I couldn’t even begin to imagine what she must have been going through! But hey, she seems to be doing fine…?

I can see that we have just been introduced to the comedy team bob and steve…better know as the moron brothers. I’m glad Jennifer was not murdered with her family. God works in mysterious ways…it was not her time….she has things to do in her lifetime. Her family is rolling over in their graves that 2 insentive, incompassionate, unfeeling males could put down women that are all they are not.

That pink lipstick makes her look like a hooker. A classy ten dollar one though…
