Jennifer Lawrence wants to be Bridget Jones

Jennifer Lawrence has been taking over Hollywood and recently said she would love to play the role of Bridget Jones. Not to worry, she won’t be stealing the part from Renée Zellweger any time soon, but she did say the movie is her favorite. “I have always wanted to play Bridget Jones. I want the movies to not exist so that I can do that,” said The Hunger Games star. “That’s the movie I put on when I am homesick, although England is not my home. When you’re feeling ‘bleh’ and you want a movie that you’re never bored of watching, Bridget Jones is that for me so it’s natural to say that I want to be Bridget Jones. But I never wanted to replace Renée Zellweger.” In addition to the The Hunger Games sequel, which has not started filming yet, Lawrence will also be appearing in The Silver Linings Playbook and Serena, both of which also star Bradley Cooper. ~Renita Naraine
