Jennifer Lopez successfully competed in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon yesterday (Sunday), with a completion time of 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds, according to Us magazine. As she crossed the finish line, she told the crowd,”Thank you guys so much . . . this is an amazing day. I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water.” Husband Marc Anthony cheered from the sidelines, and after the race escorted her to a VIP area, where she was hugged by another celebrity who competed in the triathlon –Lopez’s The Wedding Planner co-star Matthew McConaughey, who finished the race in just over an hour. The race included a half-mile ocean swim, an 18-mile bike course, and a four-mile run. Lopez, 39, who gave birth to twins last February, raised $127,000 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles by participating. The entire event raised $950,000 for various charities. Other celebrities competing included tennis player Anna Kournikova, William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman.
Wow, who gives a crap!
dying children probaly give a crap
I think it is great what JLo and Matthew McConaughey have done. It is great when stars give money to charity too but I think it is really something special when they give their ‘time’. Anyone can donate money.
With everything going on in the world this is what Tribute talks about? It`s not even about the fact that entertainment is a form of escapism from the real world.I understand that. But talking about things such as this is just a complete waste of time.
