Jeremy Renner attacked in vicious bar brawl

A night of bar-hopping in Phuket, Thailand ended horribly for Jeremy Renner. The Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol star was at a local bar with a group of friends when a violent fight broke out around 3:30 a.m. yesterday. Although Renner reportedly walked away with minor injuries, one man in his party, resort manager Vorasit Issara, was left in serious condition with stab wounds from a rotor axe and knife to the back, stomach and neck. According to gossip site TMZ, Issara had been embroiled in a heated argument with the bar staff earlier in the night but the brawl really erupted when Issara dropped a glass. Six men, alleged staff and friends of the establishment, then attacked Renner, Issara and the rest of his group. The accused admitted to also using metal pipes, a wooden club and a table leg in the attack. Authorities say all six men have now been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
