Jesse says not having Louis “left a huge hole” in his heart

jesse_jamesJesse James, 41, has spoken out about his divorce, saying losing Sandra Bullock is the “hardest” thing he has ever faced and is devastated she will now be the sole guardian of baby Louis, whom they adopted together last January. He said: “My whole life has been full of hard decisions. The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart.” Bullock will continue to co-parent James’ children. The Oscar-winning actress says she still wants to play a role in the lives of Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., 12, and six-year-old Sunny even though she’s no longer with their father. She told People magazine: “I don’t want to know what life is like without those kids. Whatever we need to do, in the healthiest way, we are going to be co-parenting.”

“…The decision to let my wife end our marriage…”
What the heck is he blathering about. Did he LET her end the marriage. I don’t think so! He caused her to want to end the marriage and then she chose to do so with or without his permission. Loser

Boo hoo. I don’t feel sorry for him at all. When you make bad choices and hurt people, you often have to pay the rest of your life for it. I’m really proud of Sandra for leaving him as soon as she realized what she was married to.

“A huge hole.” That just might be the smartest thing Jesse James has ever said. At least now he’s realized how everybody in the world feels about him.

    douche.

Why does she get to ‘co-parent’ James’ children, yet he doesn’t get any custody of an adoption that he was a part of?

This doesn’t have anything to do with him being a good or bad guy, it’s about parental (and child) rights.

I think it’s because she has been with him awhile and is a sort of mother figure for the kids.

rillan, that’s exactly what I was thinking. mandee, agreed, I think she is quite an exceptional person. silver, from what I’ve read so far (which I know could be wrong), he has agreed to let her co-parent the children and has decided to let her have Louis. My feeling is he agreed to the co-parenting thing just to try to stay as close as possible to her.

I’m with Rillan, he “let” her, I think he made the decision, she just finalized it.

tg, I think I have also read he chose to let her continue co-parenting his children, but I haven’t seen anything on how him not being involved with Louis evolved. Was it his decision, or solely hers? Was the adoption complete or nearly complete when they separated? I think if he wanted to be part of his upbringing, he probably should be allowed.

As for his ‘letting’ her end the marriage, give the guy a break on what he meant. I read it as he was sorry he didn’t try harder to fix it. Sure, it was his behaviour that caused the breakup, and I don’t necessarily think she should have reconciled with him, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with him wondering if he should have tried harder to make it work with her. Whether he regrets being unfaithful, or regrets being caught, we don’t know.
