Jessica Alba settles lawsuit

We are the post pregnant champions, my friends! Jessica Alba will be singing all the way to the bank from claiming victory in her lawsuit against post-pregnancy weight loss company Belly Bandit. The Escape From Planet Earth actress sued the business, which produces girdles for women who have just given birth, for using her image and name to promote material without her consent. Alba asked for more than a million dollars in damages and a share of the money the company made using her identity. According to TMZ, Belly Bandit negotiated with Alba to stop using her name in their advertisement and offered to give her an unspecified amount of money. Since then, the case has been dismissed. “[Belly Bandit] prominently featured and posted a photograph of Alba, and listed her name under the ‘Celebrity Testimonials’ section of their website,” said Alba’s lawsuit. The ad representing Alba read; “Jessica Alba’s #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!” The Hollywood star has daughters Honor, three, and nine-month-old Haven with her husband Cash Warren. ~Graeme Mollison

Good for her! She worked hard to loose the baby weight, why should somebody make money from her work!
