Jessica Simpson confirms pregnancy

Jessica Simpson, 31, confirmed on her website yesterday that she’s expecting a child with fiancé Eric Johnson. Media outlets had predicted for weeks that Simpson was pregnant, after she began dressing in loose fitting clothing and appeared to have gained weight. She posted a photograph of herself dressed up as a mummy for Halloween yesterday afternoon, with the title: “It’s True! I am going to be a mummy!” Later, she added a link to an article about her pregnancy. Jessica and Eric Johnson, a former pro football player, began dating in May 2010 and became engaged in November 2010. This will be the second grandchild for her parents — her younger sister Ashlee Simpson has a three-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz with her husband Pete Wentz, although she filed for divorce from him earlier this year.
