Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy split

After five years together, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have split. The 48-year-old comedian took to twitter to tell his fans, but insisted the split was amicable. He wrote: “Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful for the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best. S’okay! Be of good cheer folks! It’s a beautiful world, and we’re all gonna get what we need the most!” Jenny also took to twitter, saying: “I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to [Jim’s adult daughter] Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.” Just last month the former Playboy bunny claimed she would marry Jim, but only for tax reasons. She said: “We say ‘never’, but I don’t know. Maybe for tax purposes, someday, when we are old. That’s why we keep joking — like, when we are 70! But for now, we’re fine.” Jim has been married twice before and Jenny was previously married to actor/director John Mallory Asher in 1999, with whom she has a seven-year-old son.

Whenever a woman says she and the guy she’s living with will get married, but they don’t know when, maybe sometime in the future…blahblahblah…. it means HE doesn’t want to get married and he isn’t asking her. You were good enough for him to do, Jenny, but not good enough to marry. Lesson learned, skank.

how can someone come on an article that discusses a break up and insult the people involved? thats pretty despicable. this is sad news and im sure these 2 are not as ok as they are letting on. imagine spending 5 years of your life with someone, thinking about how your life will be when youre old and then in a moment all of that is gone. youre left alone with nothing and no one except your own children. im not saying your children cant be enough, im just saying its sad. i wish them both the best of luck.
Hey Deena, I disagree. It’s the person, not the sex that decides if he/she wants marriage. Jennie seems pretty outspoken, so if she wanted it, I’m sure she’d say so.
I read an article about autism. They interviewed a lot of families who were not favorable towards her. They said her situation is not the norm. She has the money and the resources and does not take into account the different levels of autism. It was quite interesting because I thought she was a good spokesperson. But these were real people, real lives, real hardships and stuggles, and they all agreed and they all have tried numerous things, as much as their lifestyles, insurance and other finances would allow. I know this is quite simplified, but if you read the article, you would see things from a totally different perspective.
