Jodie Foster surprised Kristen Stewart’s still acting

Jodie Foster says she’s surprised Kristen Stewart, who played her 12-year-old daughter in the 2002 movie Panic Room, is still acting. Not because she didn’t do a great job in the film or because she doesn’t have talent, but because Foster didn’t feel Kristen had the right kind of personality. She told eonline.com: “She’s a great person, and I’m not surprised she’s gone on to to do great things, but I am surprised she is an actress. I didn’t think that’s where she was headed. And even though her mom said, ‘No, she really really wants to be an actress,’ I felt like, Nah, she won’t because she really doesn’t have the stereotypical personality.” When Foster was asked if that was because she felt Kristen hadn’t been interested in fame, she quipped, “Who does? Anybody who has a brain doesn’t. That tells you how smart Kristen Stewart is.” Kristen, who achieved superstar status after appearing in Twilight, seemed awkward and ill at ease in public after the first movie, but has become more comfortable with interviews and meeting fans since the third film, Eclipse, was released.
