Johnny Depp manhandled by security guard

Although Johnny Depp usually likes to greet his fans and spend time signing autographs, a member of his security team got a little over anxious while Johnny was signing autographs on the red carpet prior to the premiere of his new movie, The Rum Diary, in New York this week. Johnny first posed for photos for the media and the fans, then began signing autographs. There was shouting and confusion as fans pleaded with others not to push. Finally, the security guard had had enough and decided to get Johnny out of there. He put both arms around Depp, completely covering his back, and “frogmarched” him past the crowd and into the theater, never leaving his side even for a moment until the actor was safely out of sight. Johnny, who must be used to flashes going off and fans pushing towards him, looked somewhat amused by his bodyguard’s overreaction. Check out the progression of what happened in the photos below:

What kind of security guard is that? I mean he is barely bigger than Johnny and Johnny is not a big guy. Perhaps he was a ninja…

I doubt it was necessary to physically march him away like that, I’m sure Johnny would have led or followed him out. Yikes.

Talk about old come on. Sounds more like it has to do with a drug search than his own security looking after his interest. Well at least you got us to read the story. Sneaky you…….
