Jon Cryer admits to being a troll

By Alexandra Heilbron on March 11, 2011 | 6 Comments

In reaction to Charlie Sheen calling him a “troll” earlier this week, Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer responded on Conan O’Brien’s new show Conan, explaining what it’s like to be a troll. Cryer, who is the only actor to have won an Emmy for his work on the sitcom, said he wanted to make a confession: “The fact is, I am a troll. It’s not something I like to talk about. My parents don’t even know that I’m a troll.” He continued: “There are a lot of misconceptions about trolls. That we drink the morning dew from buttercups. That is so not true! And we don’t bake cookies in trees.” He wrapped it up, saying: “I guess I should be grateful for being outed like this. I’m finally free. And to all you other trolls still living under the bridge, especially younger trolls,  I’m here to tell you: It gets better. Not gay better. But sort of better.”

Classic. Lol. See he doesn’t say anything negative about Charlie, he makes light of it. Charlie is causing a rift between him and a friend that he has known and worked with for years! (Since at least Hot Shots! in 1991).

He’s the only reason why I’ll miss Two and a Half Men.

This is THE perfect, light comedic YET diplomatic retort to Charlie’s rant, but let’s not forget that Charlie’s “words” are coming from a place of illness, so this isn’t really a battle, it’s an unfortunate display of someone who is not well. Sorry, I know this is a boring answer, but I believe it’s pretty accurate.

Loved what jon had to say and it was funny and light hearted. Charlie is suffering from mental illness and needs to get help now.
