Tudors star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers was detained by police at Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris on Saturday after he allegedly assaulted an airport lounge employee. Rhys-Meyers apparently became irate when a bartender, sensing he was already drunk, refused to serve him any more alcohol. The 31-year-old actor then began arguing with the bartender and is believed to have punched him, before another airport worker intervened. Rhys-Meyers, who entered rehab earlier this year for alcohol addiction, was handcuffed and locked up for three hours before being released. He’ll have to return to France in September to appear before the Correctional Tribunal on charges of voluntary violence, contempt, issuing death threats and assault. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he probably missed his plane, too.
