Rhys Meyers says celebs should shut up

British actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers has fellow celebs fuming after recent comments he made about the paparazzi. The Tudors star recently admitted he despises celebrities who complain about the paparazzi invading their privacy, because they chose to pursue a career in the limelight. “All actors and performers, including myself, thrive on attention; otherwise we wouldn’t do what we do. I read a lot of snippets about people saying, ‘I just want my private life.’ But they can’t have it! It’s that simple. You’ve got the money and the fame, but you’ve had to give up that one thing—so accept that, as that’s how your life is going to be. If you don’t like it, find something else to do.” Celebs like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie likely beg to differ—the couple are constantly battling paparazzi (who’ve gone as far as dressing in camouflage and hiding in their yard to snag those sought-after pics) and are currently pressing charges against those over-eager “stalkarazzi.”
