Jonathan Rhys Meyers used racial slur

Jonathan Rhys Meyers made a racial slur when he was banned from boarding a plane. The Irish actor — who has checked into rehab for alcoholism on several occasions — reportedly used the derogatory term when officials intervened and stopped him from boarding a United Airlines flight at John F. Kennedy airport in New York because he was drunk. An airline employee has confirmed to RadarOnline.com that the 32-year-old star used the “n”-word when he was told he couldn’t board the morning flight to Los Angeles. It is not yet known whether he was aiming the racial abuse at a specific individual. An official from the airport confirmed that Jonathan had been “pounding drinks” in the first class lounge, even though it was only 7 am, but became “out of control” and was refused entry. They were unable to elaborate any further on the report because of passenger privacy laws, but it is believed he has received a life ban from travelling with United Airlines. This is not the first time Jonathan has got into trouble before embarking on a flight. Last year, he was arrested at a bar in Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport for reportedly challenging police to a fight. He was also arrested in Ireland in November 2007 for drunkenly arguing with airport staff, only seven months after checking into rehab for the second time.

OMFG!!! A ‘white’ guy used a racial slur! What about the hundreds (and thousands) of non-white guys that say them more times in a single 3-minute song than the majority of people use in a year. Here’s an idea for the press, if there isn’t anything to report that is ‘News-worthy’ don’t report anything!

dante, calm down. also what do you mean “whenever there��s a crime it��s always about non-Caucasian people!” ??? there are plenty of white people that break the law, did you find roman polanski to be “non-Caucasian”? or how about charlie sheen? how about any of the others that beat their wives, rob stores, rape children, drink and drive (i cant really think of names for the rest of these things because i dont personally care, but for drunk driving, the kid from the sixth sense)no one is sitting here saying that white people arent just as bad as the other races.
now, on the topic at hand. i dont CARE what these people say in their songs or to one another. but, i also dont see why that word is such a big deal. people can call caucasian people white trash, honkeys and other names and its not posted in the news left right and center. as far as im concerned people are just trying to make this guy look bad, which they are succeeding in doing. should he have been drinking at 7am? of course not, should be be doing all these other bad things hes doing? nope, BUT some people do these things as a cry for help, maybe he is lonely and needs the attention. either way, he needs to go into rehab and get a handle on this alcoholism business.
one more thing, i really have no idea who he is either. anyone have any movies or anything he was in that they can tell me about?
He currently stars in the TV Show The Tudors where he plays King Henry 8th, sorry my roman numerial skills are poor.
He has also been in many movies; Mission Impossible III, Match Point (Wooden Allen movie) and Bend it Like Beckham.
He was also in August Rush, which is an amazing movie.

i will watch for it when it comes out on tv. 🙂 i havent really had money to rent movies lately! i didnt even end up seeing nightmare on elm street 🙁 yet.
