TV is the place to be, and with the likes of Julianne Moore and Robert De Niro capitalizing on the wealth of roles available on the small screen, it’s only getting hotter.

The Oscar winners are set to star in David O. Russell‘s upcoming drama series, which has been described as a crime/cop thriller set in the ’90s. Rumor has it that the currently untitled show will run for multiple seasons.

Although it will be the first time Julianne and David have worked together, the series will mark the third collaboration between Robert and David. Robert acted in David’s Silver Linings Playbook and Joy, receiving an Oscar nomination for his work in the former film.

Robert, who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1975 for The Godfather: Part II and the Best Actor trophy in 1981 for Raging Bull, is new to the television landscape. Julianne, who nabbed the Best Actress Academy Award in 2015 for Still Alice, isn’t such a stranger. She won both a Golden Globe and Emmy for portraying Sarah Palin in the HBO project Game Change.

Before they take their talents to TV, Julianne will reteam with director Todd Haynes for Wonderstruck (having worked with him on three films) while Robert is slated to portray disgraced financier Bernie Madoff in Barry Levinson‘s HBO movie Wizard of Lies.

What are your thoughts on this star-studded new TV series? Will you be tuning in? Let us know what you think!

I won’t be watching as I don’t have any of those specialty channels. I wish these shows would come on basic cable, even if it’s a season after they run on other channels.

I can’t wait! I love David O. Russell. Maybe Jennifer Lawrence will cameo.

Julianne is fantastic and I have high hopes for this, but I’m uncertain about David O. Russell. He’s pretty unoriginal.
