Julianne Moore in talks to play villain in Hunger Games: Mockingjay

Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore is in early talks to play a villainous role in the final two installments of The Hunger Games films. According to Deadline.com, the 52-year-old Carrie star is being enlisted to play District 13’s President Alma Coin in the two final films, which are based on Suzanne Collins’ book, Mockingjay. Coin is a leading politician whose questionable methods clash with the young heroine, Katniss Everdeen. If Moore heads on board, she joins a returning cast of illustrious actors including Jennifer Lawrence, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Woody Harrelson, Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Banks. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence is set to direct the two-part film, which will be released in 2014 and 2015. ~Alfonso Espina
