Justin Bieber fans attack Spalding’s Wiki page

By Alexandra Heilbron on February 14, 2011 | 10 Comments

When Justin Bieber lost to jazz singer Esperanza Spalding for Best New Artist last night at the Grammys, his fans took to her Wikipedia page, flooding it with insults. According to MTV.com, random lies and taunts were added to the site and then quickly removed. One “Belieber” wrote, “Justin Bieber deserved it go die in a hole. Who the heck are you anyway?” Another wrote after a sentence about her Grammy win: “Even though no one has ever heard of her! Yay!” When Spalding’s name was announced, Bieber looked surprised, and admitted to MTV news afterwards, “I’m not going to lie — I was disappointed. But, you know, I’m gonna come back [next year] and we’ll take a few home.” When asked what he said to Spalding after her win, Bieber replied, “I didn’t meet her.” When she was pointed out, the teen singer said, “Okay, Imma go say, Imma go say wattup. Yeah. Congratulate her.” Bieber could then be seen shaking Spalding’s hand in the video below.

He looked kind of shocked when he didn’t win Best New Artist. He sounds pretty sure that he’ll get Grammy nominations next year. Very modest of him. And what’s with the Imma go say whattup? He was raised where? Doesn’t sound Canadian to me.

I knew how to wear a bow tie at his age. He has it on crooked. This is just a funny picture in general.

I’m not a fan of Bieber but WHY are people so mean? On both sides?

I personally think Florence and the Machine should have won.

it is hilarious to read people insult a kid who is obviously talented.

if he talks differently than a normal kid from stratford it may have something to do with the fact that he now spends time in another city with friends who have their own slang…

ask your self how the grammy board determines their winners? people think it is by success but it is not. if it was a numbers game then just check sound scan… those are the real winners in the music industry… the grammys are just a 3 hour commercial for the record labels…

I like the comments ‘nobody has heard of Spalding’ on the wiki page….uh.. I never heard of this Justin guy until the movie trailer showed up. he will have his 15 minutes of fame then he will disappear.
