Justin Bieber‘s been offered a plea deal in his recent DUI case, but he has reportedly rejected the bargain. The troubled celeb was given what’s considered a standard sentencing deal for first-time DUI offenders following his January 23 arrest in Miami, and the deal included the following: community service, an alcohol-ed course and submitting to random drug testing for six to nine months. Sources explained that the random drug testing clause was the deal breaker – Justin refuses to submit to random drug testing. Law enforcement sources said that they won’t agree to strike a deal without the pop star agreeing to comply with the testing, which means that a trial is very likely in this case.
Bieber’s camp has made it clear that he’s not going to accept any deal that includes probationary terms, and this is also partly because of problems with the officers who arrested him. One officer claimed that Bieber smelled like alcohol, but he blew a 0.014 in a breathalyzer test, which is below the legal limit in Florida. Another officer claimed that Justin was drag racing shortly before his arrest, but the GPS in his car showed he was only going 27 mph. ~Yara Matar
