Justin Bieber wins three MMVAs

Justin Bieber won three MMVAs in Toronto last night — International Video of the Year by a Canadian for Baby, featuring Ludacris; UR FAVE new artist and UR FAVE new video. “This is incredible,” said Bieber, onstage accepting the first award. “It’s hard, I’m still taking it in, you know coming from a small town in Canada, repping Stratford, Ontario. I just want to say, this means the world to me, it’s my first award and to have it in Canada, is just amazing.” He later sang two of his hits — “Somebody to Love” and “Baby,” while the crowd of teenage girls screamed and cried. Vancouver-based pop-punker Hedley also picked up three MMVAs: Video of the Year, Post Production of the Year and Pop Video of the Year. Adam Lambert won an MMVA for UR FAVE International Video for “Whataya Want From Me,” which he also performed. Co-host Miley Cyrus picked up the trophy for international artist video of the year for “Party in the U.S.A.,” and performed two numbers. She kicked off the show wearing a bandana, a black vinyl shorts suit and teetering on stilettos as she towered over her dancers during “Party in the U.S.A.” To close the show, she wore a skimpy white outfit and sang her latest release, “Can’t Be Tamed.”
