Justin Bieber’s mother defends his recent antics

By Tribute on July 5, 2013 | 8 Comments

Justin Bieber‘s mother, Pattie Mallette, has opened up about the media frenzy surrounding her son’s life in a new interview with the Associated Press. As part of promotion for her memoir, “Nowhere But Up,” Mallette defended her son, claiming that his recent troubles have been sensationalized by the media. “He wants me to continue to respect his boundaries and my relationship with him,” Mallette said of her 19-year-old, who has had troubles with paparazzi and his neighbors in California over his reckless behavior. “Everybody has their own opinion and everybody wants to sensationalize everything.” According to Mallette, now that her son is an adult, she hopes he will make wiser decisions. “You have to sort of let them make some of their own decisions,” she said. “Me, personally, I would love to be with him all the time and to be able to ground him and deal with his problems and do all of that stuff, but at some point the parenting style changes. I hope to still be a respected voice in his ear.” ~Alfonso Espina

He’s a joke…all the money and fame does NOT make it ok to behave like a jerk, show up late to concerts, do drugs, speed and hit people…but it sure can help buy your way out of trouble it seems…he needs to grow up and Usher needs to distance himself from this clown.

You know everybody has an opinion – well then let me ask you this – how would you react or feel if this was your child? Would you then express these sentiments that you now express? Yes it seems lately every time you turn on the radio or Television there’s always some negative story about Justin Bieber – but people tend to forget that he’s still a teenager & as such he will not always make the best decisions to your liking. He will have to learn by error which will make him stronger & in all likely hood a better person than he already is. People never give him credit where credit is due – there always quick to judge him on every bad decision. He gives so much of himself, he helps the sick, the less fortunate but people don’t acknowledge all the good he’s done just on the bad.

People need to leave him alone, let him enjoy his life, he had a dream, he pursued & made it come true!!!! He will continue to make mistakes after all he is human like the rest of us.

His mom did a great job of raising him – I don’t agree with her views of having to parent differently now a days – she’s still his mom & should put her foot down when the need arises even though he’s 19 – he still would need guidance on tougher decisions & I think he will realize that he’ll have to distance himself from the unsavorable people that he sometimes associates himself with.

    Thank you.

Angellic, it’s really frustrating when people excuse all irresponsible behavior as just the mistakes of youth. Yeah, we all make mistakes. But it doesn’t mean we’re above getting called on them because we’re young. You don’t give someone a free pass because they do good things sometimes. When they act a fool, we give them a kick in the pants. That’s how they keep their head on straight.

Nobody learns by being left to their own devices with absolutely no consequences or backlash. Don’t disrupt your community with constant late night parties. Don’t lend your car out to friends who are stupid enough to speed it around a residential neighborhood. Everyone else is expected to show up to work on time, and just because Bieber does charity work that doesn’t make him any different. People wouldn’t call him a jerk if he didn’t act like a jerk.

He is acting like a typical 19 year old who thinks he knows everything. In a few years he will realize he should have listened to common sense. Hopefully he hasn’t self-destructed by then…..look at Miley, Amanda & Lynsey. Take a look at what they are doing Justin and do the opposite.

Awww, mommy speaks, blah blah blah Beiber gives me money to ride in this expensive car. Blah blah blah He can do whatever he pleases because its paying our bills and letting us enjoy those riches that others only envy… Blah blah blah only his PR cleans up his mess, he doesn’t know a thing just when to show up and bat his eyelashes, “I’m sorry for…whatever this time… Pst, yo, what I do this time?”
