Kanye West pisses off PETA

By Tribute on April 9, 2012 | 14 Comments

Rapper/ fashion designer Kanye West has once again angered PETA thanks to his new song “Theraflu,” in which he taunts the animal rights organization with the lyrics, “Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor.” Kanye is likely referring to being bashed by the group back in 2010 for showing up to a fashion week event in a long fur coat. “What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings,” said PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews in a statement. “He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes.” In the song, Kanye is also said to be claiming his love for Kim Kardashian with the lyrics, “And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim. ‘Round the same time she had fell in love wit’ him. Well that’s cool baby girl, do your thing. Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team,” referring to Kim’s ex-husband Kris Humphries, who plays for the New Jersey Nets, a team co-owned by Jay-Z. Kanye seems to have won the girl though — the pair are said to be officially dating. At least they’ll have something in common, with Kim also being on PETA’s bad list. She was recently flour bombed on a red carpet for openly wearing fur.

Kanye West is a tool. So is Kim Kardashian. Kris Humphries should be counting his blessings right now.

Hahaha, Everybody pisses of PETA. They probably hate their own mothers because at some point they made their kid’s rabbits stay in their pens or something. GOD FORBID!!!!!!!

Only a low-life would wear fur. Thank God PETA and other groups are around to spread awareness to the ignorant and blind.

He’s gonna wear fur whether you criticize him or not for it so whatever. Might as well just leave him alone instead of giving him more publicity

I like PETA only because they are against fur. Those poor animals getting skinned so low lifes like Kanye and Kim can wear them. As for Kanye and Kim being together, well, their both annoying a-holes who are famous for being a-holes, so they are PERFECT for each other.

It isn’t too far fetched that the man who insulted the incredibly sweet Taylor Swift would not give a damn about animals being murdered and skinned for their fur so he could wear it. An all-around asshole.

The L.A. winters must be freezing! Kanye West might be an idiot with clothing issues, but he is a musical genius.

I wish PETA and Kanye would fight each other to the death. I would make a coat out of their shredded remains.

I don’t like the killing of live animals. I would to the same thing just to piss PETA off just case.

Regardless or not you can talk smack about him but I doubt he’ll care.

I love to eat meat and I think that we can use animals if we’re not throwing off the balance of nature (i.e. extinction of a species). If we hunt and eat an animal, why shouldn’t we use their furs? I am, however, against killing animals JUST for some of their properties, like killing an entire elephant for the tusks. Also, I don’t believe in the torturing or prolonging the pain of these animals either, this includes bad living conditions.

With that said, I’m completely against organizations like PETA heralding animals and putting them on a level higher than humans. We have people starving here, and even more so in other countries, to the point of death and these people are spending money to make sure animals are being treated fairly? Something doesn’t sit well with me there.

Well Lloyd, maybe I can help. Some people love children and work in organizations to make sure they’re not beaten or starved and have good living conditions. Some people form organizations to help starving children in other countries. Some people form organizations to save the earth’s ozone, or to help people being imprisoned for speaking their mind in other countries. Some people form organizations to help animals. I could see not liking PETA if there was no one else helping people or anything else. They love animals. They believe animals have a right to life. They don’t say they value animal life over human life. I love animals. I value human life and animal life equally. I believe everyone has the right to a comfortable, happy life and to be loved. If that’s wrong, I’m sorry, I can’t change that. I don’t eat animals. I don’t wear fur. Because physically, it would make me sick to think I was eating flesh from someone who otherwise would be living, but instead, in the last few hours of their lives, were forced onto a truck, sometimes taken away from their mothers, hung upside down by rough handlers and had their bellies slit until they bled to death. That’s one way animals (pigs and goats) are killed. There are a lot of videos online you can see if you have the stomach for it. I’ve seen murdered goats and pigs in real life and it made me sick to my stomach. So in my eyes, PETA is a great organization that does much good and so are Free the Children, Amnesty International, etc. etc. but no one complains about the ones for people. Because we’re so arrogant that we think we matter above all other life, to the point where we’re destroying the world. At least most people now agree animals have feelings, personalities and form bonds with each other and with us. Just look at your dog. Would you like someone to kill him and wear his fur as a coat? Why is your dog held in higher esteem than a goat? Or a pig? Or a cow. That’s what made me realize that all animals are equal. And because I love my dog and would not let anyone harm him, I had to extend that courtesy to all animals.

The Latin/Greek terms do come in handy when looking for very specific plants. The little cuttings I planted of “Cupressocyparis leylandii”/Leyland Cypress are doing well please see their progress in the photo. Cuttings really are easy and I wish you the best in creating your paradise!
