A Palace rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the Duchess of Cambridge has gone into labor and has been admitted into the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.  Royal officials confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge travelled from Kensington Palace to the hospital by car at about 6 a.m. local time (1 a.m. ET). According to BBC News, the royal couple did not have a police escort en route. Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William, in 1982, and Prince Harry, in 1984, at the same Lindo Wing. Once the baby is born, the Queen would be the first to receive the news, followed by Prime Minister David Cameron and the Middleton family. The official announcement of the royal baby’s birth will be written on a Buckingham Palace official letterhead and posted on an easel behind the Buckingham Palace gates.
